Borussia won the first leg of the Champions League semi-final

Borussia beat Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) at home with a score of 1:0 (1:0).

Dortmund took the lead in the 36th minute when Niklas Füllkrug was faster than the defender after Nico Schlotterbeck’s long pass and sent the ball into the bottom corner of the Parisian goal.

PSG had a good chance to equalize shortly after the start of the second half, but Kylian Mbappe hit the post. As the half continued, the Parisians had no shortage of opportunities to level the result, but all attempts to send the ball into the home team’s goal were unsuccessful.

The return match in Paris is scheduled for May 7.

It has already been reported that on Tuesday in the second semi-final, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid played a draw, the match ended with a score of 2:2.

32 teams played in the main Champions League tournament. The top two teams from each subgroup advanced to the round of 16, while the third-placed team continued their season in the UEFA Europa League qualifying tournament.

The final will take place on 1 June 2024 at Wembley Stadium in London.

Manchester City won the Champions League last season, beating Italian club Inter 1-0 in Istanbul.
