In the past few weeks and months there have been repeated rumors regarding Youssoufa Moukoko’s future. The striker’s contract expires next summer and it is therefore uncertain that the 18-year-old will wear the black and yellow jersey next season. According to media reports, a final decision should now have been made.
Those responsible at Borussia Dortmund are certain: Moukoko will leave BVB! As “Sky” reports, it is unlikely that Moukoko will accept BVB’s offer to extend the contract. According to the pay TV broadcaster, it should be more likely that the striker will leave the club.
Borussia Dortmund: Decision made at Moukoko?
Chelsea FC is said to have made the club an offer that the 18-year-old is dealing with. Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano also reports that those responsible for BVB now assume that Moukoko will leave the club. Dortmund’s offer is not what he would expect.
Most recently, it was said that Dortmund’s Moukoko would only offer a salary of three million euros per year, which can increase to up to six million euros per year through performance-related bonus payments. This is obviously not good enough for the 18-year-old.
Borussia Dortmund: Moukoko is allowed to negotiate with other clubs
Because Moukoko only has half a year left on his contract, he can officially negotiate with other clubs. He does not have to inform BVB of other offers. This also means that if the talent’s negotiations with Chelsea drag on, sports director Sebastian Kehl cannot expect a quick final decision.
More news:
In the current season, Moukoko has 22 games for BVB. In these he scored six goals and six assists. Due to his strong performances, the striker was also nominated by national coach Flick for the World Cup squad in Qatar. With Tottenham, Manchester United, Liverpool FC, Chelsea FC and FC Barcelona, many top European teams are said to be interested in the 18-year-old.
