Managing director Lars Ricken revealed this in the TV talk show “Phoenix persönlich”. Terzic came to the conclusion on his own that a new head coach would be better for Borussia. “When he [Terzic; Anm. d. Red.] made the decision to leave BVB, he was concerned with what was best for BVB in this situation,” reveals Ricken.
In the process, he also spoke out in favor of Nuri Sahin as his successor. “Do it with Nuri,” Terzic said, because he is convinced that the ex-professional is “a top coach” and will get even better.
