Boris Becker won in court against Oliver Pocher

The branch of the Karlsruhe Higher Regional Court ruled on Tuesday in Freiburg that Pocher is now prohibited from further disseminating controversial image sequences from a television report. In addition, Pocher must delete the image sequences if they were published on his own website.

Sequences of a television report from the RTL program “Pocher – dangerously honest” from October 2020 were controversial. The court did not follow the Offenburg regional court with its ruling. A year ago it rejected Becker’s lawsuit against Pocher (45) in the first instance.

The presiding judge Claudia Jarsumbek of the 14th Civil Senate of the Higher Regional Court had already said in the middle of the month that there were limits to the portrayal of celebrities: “The Senate has doubts that a celebrity will have any form of publication of their image – regardless of how it was taken – have to accept.”
