Gabriel Boric, President of Chile, echoed the words of his Brazilian counterpart, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silvaand called for a fair development of the presidential elections in Venezuela.
“I agree with and support Lula’s statements: under no circumstances can bloodbaths be threatened. What the leaders and candidates receive is a flood of votes and these floods of votes represent popular sovereignty, which must be respected.”the Chilean president commented in response to international media.
Boric called on the administration of Nicolas Maduro and to National Electoral Council to ensure the process is guaranteed and the results of the elections are respected.
