Bloomberg magazine highlighted President Gabriel Boric as one of the most influential people in the world in 2022.
President Gabriel Boric is recognized as one of the 50 most influential people in the world in 2022for the magazine Bloomberg.
In a brief publication it is highlighted that the president obtained “the largest number of votes for head of state in the history of Chile”, as he also mentions that his “policy prioritizes social justice, consensus and public service”.
The magazine also points out that “the setbacks suffered by Boric in his first months in office have lowered his approval ratings.”
He also defines it as “the voice of Chile on the international stage” and he stresses that at 36 he is the youngest national leader on the planet.
Bloomberg refers to Boric’s political career, his position as president of the Student Federation at the University of Chile, the setback he suffered with the rejection of the new Constitution that was drawn up following he came to power, and the speech offered at the General Assembly of the United Nations, last September.

The 50 most influential people in the world in 2022
Those who also appear on the list are: the Puerto Rican singer, Bad Bunny; the Ukrainian president, Volodímir Zelenski; tennis player Serena Williams; actor Tom Cruise; and the model and businesswoman, Kim Kardashian.
Bloomberg qualifies Bad Bunny as “the biggest pop star on the planet” and points out that his concert tour this year raised more than 230 million dollars.
“Two years following the pandemic halted touring, the biggest pop stars were ready to hit the road. Harry Styles, Elton John, Dua Lipa, Paul McCartney, Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd played to sold-out venues; but none of them performed in front of more people than Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, alias Bad Bunny”, adds the magazine.
