Jeddah – In Saudi Arabia, Saudiization in dental hospitals is increased to 35 percent. This decision was taken in partnership with the Ministry of Health. The new decision will come into effect from March 10, 2024 next year.

The Ministry of Human Resource and Social Development has announced that it has decided to increase indigenization to 35 percent in the dental medicine profession (dental doctors). Saudization in the field of dental medicine is part of the efforts of both ministries to provide more stimulating and productive employment opportunities for Saudi women and youth in different provinces in Saudi Arabia.

The Ministry of Health said it will monitor the implementation of the new decision to increase the participation of indigenous people in the labor market. The Ministry of Health will supervise the implementation of the new decision in accordance with the requirements of the labor market and the share of dental professions in the market.

The Ministry of Health said that organizations that employ Saudis in the field of dental medicine can take advantage of the different incentives and supports provided by the Ministry of Human Resource and Social Development, including support to find and recruit native employees, support for training to nurture the capacity of native employees, and a plan to cover the wage share of new hires for a certain period of time.
