The Gaspésie Health and Social Services Center (CISSS) is beginning its fall vaccination campaign on its territory.
From October 10, the vaccination campaign will be open to the entire population. It will be possible to make an appointment on the Clic-Santé platform or by telephone.
Mobile teams from the CISSS have already started traveling to CHSLDs and seniors’ residences to vaccinate residents against COVID-19 and influenza.

The Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine regional public health department expects an increase in the transmission of COVID-19 over the coming weeks.
Mr. Lefebvre recommends that the most vulnerable people, namely people aged 60 and over, people living with chronic illnesses, pregnant women and health care workers in particular, get a booster dose of their vaccine.
The objective is yes, to protect temporarily so as not to catch the infection, but the real objective of vaccination is to reduce complications, to avoid hospitalizations, so it is vulnerable people who should have their vaccine as a priority, he said.
Vaccination centers will be deployed across the region for appointments for the general population.
