Tesla is committed to ensuring that the brand’s models are increasingly accessible to more people. The launch of the new “Tesla Boost” program adds more discounts to its cars, which have been “penalized” by tariffs imposed on cars from China. The recent increase in tariffs by the European Commission on electric cars imported from China (in force since July 5) has also punished Tesla models. Elon Musk’s company is now tackling the price increase with its new program called “Tesla Boost” that is being launched only in Spain. It is a direct discount program of 3,290 euros on the entry-level variants of the best-selling Model 3 and Model Y ranges, which can be added to the state aid from the Moves III Plan with scrapping and the 15% reduction in personal income tax.
All in all, Spanish users can get a rear-wheel drive Model 3 from €26,990 (the model cost €41,490 before the promotion) or a rear-wheel drive Model Y from €29,990 (this electric car started at €44,490), if we add the promotion and all the aid. If we only add Tesla’s program, the prices are €36,990 and €39,990, respectively.
This incentive plan begins on July 16 and ends on September 30, 2024.
How does the program work
“Tesla Boost” is applied directly to the sales price, without any additional requirements, so customers can choose their car and enjoy the discount at the time of purchase. This incentive is designed to encourage more and more customers to purchase zero-emission vehicles, making the purchase much more attractive in terms of price, although for the Moves III aid we still have to wait for the advance amount of the aid to be returned to us.
