Boom Supersonic A plane traveling at 2 times the speed of sound

Boom Supersonic has unveiled its prototype aircraft, the XB1, making the first move to introduce the world’s fastest passenger aircraft.

On October 7, the prototype aircraft was unveiled at an event that did not carry any passengers but showcased its technologies.

“As we begin to move toward a supersonic future, today we come together for a new era of air travel,” said company CEO Blake Shukol.

The XB1 uses 3 electric engines that provide 12,000 pounds of thrust, while the long nose obscures the view of the runway from the cockpit during landing, but the cameras make up for it.

The plane is designed for supersonic performance, Blake Shukol said.

The company’s main goal is to revive commercial supersonic flights that have not been seen since the retirement of the Concordia.

The plane will be able to fly at twice the speed of sound, which will cover the distance between London and New York in just 3 hours and 15 minutes, compared to 14 hours for normal flights.

In simple words, its flight between Lahore and Karachi will be enough to reach the destinations before half an hour.

According to the company, the lightweight carbon fiber skin and some hardware will be 3D printed, helping to keep the cost of air travel down.

The company also said that the aircraft would produce a softer sonar boom and its engines would be quieter.

The first test of this aircraft will take place sometime next year.

For commercial flights, this aircraft will be seen flying in the air during the next decade, flying at a speed of 1700 miles per hour.

It will be able to fly at an altitude of 60,000 to 70,000 feet, in which luxurious facilities will be provided for the passengers.

Japan Airlines and Virgin Group have invested in this company and the two companies have already placed orders for a total of 30 aircraft.

Its commercial version will be called the OverTrue while the prototype variant will be called the XB1.

The XB1 is not primarily a passenger plane, but more like a fighter plane that can accommodate only one pilot.

It will also be much smaller in size than Overture and is intended to test technologies used on larger aircraft.
