Hull FC Foundation’s HAF Camps Offer Winter Holiday Fun for Local Children
Hull FC Community Foundation is bringing back its popular Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Camps, providing a range of fun and engaging activities for youngsters during the winter school break. Starting on Monday, December 23rd, the camps offer a structured and supportive environment for children of all ages.
Funding Provides Healthy Meals and Fun Activities
The HAF Camps are made possible thanks to funding from Hull City Council, who, in partnership with the government, aim to provide healthy food and enriching experiences for children over the school holidays. Free meals are available for all participants, ensuring they stay nourished while enjoying a wide range of exciting activities.
Promoting Well-Being and Development Through Play 7
Beyond the fun factor, these camps offer much-needed support to families during the holidays while providing children with opportunities to learn new skills, make new friends, and stay active. The camps support the development of important life skills such as resilience, character building, and general well-being, all while contributing to their wider educational journey.
Diverse Activities Cater to Various Interests
This year’s winter programme boasts a diverse array of activities catering to a variety of interests. Young sports enthusiasts can participate in Rugby League activities at the Elite Rugby Camp at Jonny Whiteley Park (ages 11-16), while younger participants can enjoy multi-sports fun at Active + (ages 5-11) on December 23rd.
St Mary’s College will host multi-sports camps from Decmber 23rd to January 3rd for ages 5-11. For those with a passion for boxing, aspirational young boxers can participate in the Boxing Camp held at the City of Hull Boxing Club (ages 5-11) from January 2nd to 3rd.
Girls aged 11-16 can participate in the Unite Girls Camp at the MKM Stadium Community Hub from December 23rd to January 3rd. For budding dancers and cheerleaders, St Mary’s College will host a Dance & Cheerleading Camp from January 2nd to 3rd.
Football enthusiasts ages 12-16 can head to the Allam Sports Centre for the Football Camp, also running from December 23rd to January 3rd.
