“State corporations must be exemplary, it [y] depends on the public’s confidence in our institutions,” said the head of the economy at Québec solidaire, Ruba Ghazal, inviting the Legault government to take a position and act quickly in this file.
Friday, The newspaper reported that Loto-Québec still did not rule out the possibility of paying millions of dollars in bonuses to its executives for the 2021-2022 financial year. This possibility shocks several employees.
Last spring, the former president of the Crown corporation, Lynne Roiter, had yet raised the idea of once more amputating incentive compensation for the current year. Loto-Québec says today that this decision will not be made until the end of the fiscal year.
“That private companies that receive subsidies do that is already indecent, but that a state corporation does it, it’s simply outrageous,” said Ms.me Ghazal.
