Announced Friday, the contract is estimated at 326 million US (436 million CAN) according to the prices displayed. Customers can usually get discounts when purchasing multiple devices. The identity of the buyer has not been revealed.

“This order clearly demonstrates that this platform (the Challenger 3500) offers the exceptional experience sought by customers,” said Bombardier President and CEO Éric Martel in a press release.

In the third quarter ending September 30, the Quebec aircraft manufacturer posted a ratio of new contracts to the number of deliveries of 1.1. This means that the company delivers almost as many devices as it receives orders.

The value of its order book was estimated at 14.7 billion US dollars.

On the Toronto Stock Exchange on Friday, Bombardier’s Class B stock closed at $52.23, up 16 cents or 0.3%. Since the start of the year, the stock has fallen by 1.15%.
