The Administrative Department of Traffic and Transportation (Datt) reported that the victims were identified as Miraira del Carmen Melendez Marciglia, who came as a barbecue, and Luis Enrique Alcazar Castillo, who was driving the motorcycle.
According to preliminary versions, the victims were in the Bóxer brand vehicle with license plate XUH 05E and lost their balance after passing the traffic light in the area. The bodies were left between the tires just in front of the Transcaribe station. Another version speaks of a possible improper crossing by the motorcycle driver. The vehicles involved in the deadly accident were transferred to the patios in Membrillal.
There are seven fatalities in traffic accidents between Sunday night and Monday afternoon in Cartagena and northern Bolívar.
