The Palace of Versailles and three French airports were evacuated this Friday due to new bomb threats, several media reported.

Fourteen regional airports were targeted by alerts, three of which were evacuated (Bordeaux, Rennes and Béziers), the media said, citing airport sources.

This is the third day in a row that such alerts have disrupted French air transport. These bomb threats have led, in recent days, to the cancellation of around a hundred flights and numerous delays.

The Palace of Versailles, located a few kilometers from Paris, was also evacuated this Friday for the fifth time in a few days.

“For security reasons, the Palace of Versailles is evacuating visitors and will reopen as soon as checks have been carried out,” a announcement the establishment on its X account (ex-Twitter).

In recent days, several French sites, including schools and tourist sites, have been evacuated following bomb threats, while the country lives in fear of attacks.

Last Friday, France was placed on “emergency attack” alert, the highest level of Vigipirate, one of the tools of the French counter-terrorism system, following the death of a teacher stabbed by a former student in a public high school from Arras, in the north of the country.
