Bollestad: – Nice to be back again

Bollestad participated in the constitution of the Storting on Tuesday.

– It’s nice to be back again, she says in a short comment to NTB.

Bollestad has been on sick leave since June in connection with the fact that there have been reports against her because of her leadership style. She stepped down as KrF leader on 22 August, but sits as a parliamentary representative for one more year.

– We talk together

Acting party leader Dag-Inge Ulstein and former KrF leader Kjell Ingolf Ropstad have also been elected to the Storting for KrF.

When asked how the mood is in the party group after the notification case, Bollestad replies:

– We talk together, honestly. We went together to the constitution and back again, so this should go well.

Bollestad has previously come out harshly against the party leadership in KrF in a letter to the party’s central board. She will not answer whether the hatchet is now buried.

Health and Rogaland

Bollestad has announced that she will not seek re-election to the Storting and that she is giving up politics. She wants to spend the last year as an elected representative on health policy and on her home county of Rogaland, she says.

– They have been treated a bit stepmotherly while I have been party leader. So now I will spend time with whoever becomes the first candidate from Rogaland when the time comes, says Bollestad.

– Is it wistful to embark on your last year as a representative of the Storting?

– No. Everything in its time. I already know that there are things on the outside of this house too. What is important to me is to use my commitment. Next autumn will show what it will be.
