Bolívar received Christmas with the reopening of El Agua square (+ video)

The facilities were reconditioned thanks to the joint work between the state government and Corpoelec.

Christmas began in Bolívar state with the reopening of the El Agua square, which is located in the Macagua dam.

The event was enlivened by the Gaitas de Guayana group, Luigi “el romantico” and Iván Romero.

In a family atmosphere, colorful and full of lights, the governor of Bolívar state, Ángel Marcano, accompanied by the first lady, Yajaira Arocha de Marcano; of the mayor of Caroní, Tito Oviedo, and the entire cabinet complied “with the order given by Nicolás Maduro to start Christmas on October 1.”

Marcano said that this reopening was achieved thanks to the cooperation between the government and the team of the National Electric Corporation (Corpoelec), they indicated in a press release.

They did so with the aim of contributing to economic, social and tourist growth. A gastronomic fair for entrepreneurs was also held.

These facilities were inaugurated on December 2, 1997, and awarded in one of the categories of the National Prize for Architecture of Venezuela in 1999, they will be under guard 24 hours a day, “to guarantee the people of Bolivar a calm and healthy recreation”.

The regional president announced the complete recovery of these spaces. “We are starting the lights for the enjoyment of the community, choosing this beautiful setting, we will recover the Ecomuseum for our people, who want to enjoy its spaces.”

The governor extended the invitation to the population to visit these facilities, whose place has recreation areas, accompanied by sets of water sources, which run by gravity from the Macagua II dam.

He explained that in his management the plans are evaluated and proposed within the Specific Agenda for Action, and that “they have been carried out in an organized manner.”

“We have made a series of plans and we have complied with them in their entirety, the asphalting, lighting on the roads, now we are going with lighting in public sectors.”

The governor announced that next October 14 there will be a massive party in Ciudad Guayana, where they estimate to fill Cerro El Gallo with more than 50 thousand people, for the lighting of lights in this emblematic place of San Félix.
