Boil water advisory lifted in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, maintained in Boucherville

The City of Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville confirms that the boil water advisory that has been in effect on its territory since 1is September is now up, since Monday at 3:30 p.m.

The tests carried out on the network during the last 48 hours according to the rules dictated by the Public Health Department show that the water is safe to drink, explains the municipality in a press release.

The boil water advisory was issued on 1is September due to the possible presence of E. Coli bacteria

Residents no longer need to boil water before consuming it.

The City of Longueuil lifted its notice on Sunday, after more than 48 hours.

The boil water advisory has been partially lifted for Boucherville since 7:30 p.m. Monday.

Indeed, the area south of boul. de Mortagne (towards Highway 20) is no longer subject to this notice.

The Center de services scolaire des Patriotes (CSSP), meanwhile, announced the suspension of classes at De Mortagne high school on Tuesday, September 5.

“Due to the combination of the work currently underway at the school, the boil water advisory still in effect in Boucherville and the announced weather, classes will be suspended tomorrow September 5 at the secondary school. From Mortagne. The situation will be assessed again on September 5 at 4 p.m.,” the service center’s website reads.
