The relationship between the star and the general’s daughter was an open secret. It was only years later that the so-called tabloid press delved into the details. Journalists reported that when Jaruzelska caught Linda’s eye, he did not know who she was. He had noticed her at one of the student house parties because she was “blowing out jokes regarding Jaruzel”. “It loosened the stiff atmosphere, thanks to which even new acquaintances knew that they might talk freely around me,” she said. The newly established acquaintance developed away from curious glances. They enjoyed their time together at the Jaruzelskis’ Masurian estate, which gave them anonymity. It was said that the communist politician found out regarding his daughter’s affair long following the fact. On the other hand, we read that thanks to the intelligence services, he kept his finger on the pulse… “Linda was even supposed to be invited to the Belweder Palace, but the general did not approve of this relationship,” reported “Viva”.

“As for my acquaintance with Boguś, I will only say that of all the men I have known, he is the best companion for long forest expeditions, even in the autumn rain. And an equally wonderful companion for evening conversations. I like and appreciate Boguś very much as a person and an actor” – this is what Monika wrote years later in her autobiography. So the speculations continued. Until in one of the interviews she said directly: “Boguś likes the countryside, he doesn’t like glitz, Boguś has a similar sense of humor to me. We were definitely not a classic couple”.
