The programme to be offered by La Grande Chapelle (Spain) brings back a selection of sacred works in Spanish composed for the Royal Spanish Chapel in the 17th century. Among them, the works of the composer Carlos Patiño, chapel master of the Court of Philip IV for more than thirty years, stand out.

This programme is the quintessence of his musicological recoveries and world-first recordings. His premieres and 25 discs have been released thanks to a rigorous approach to the original sources and the respectful interpretation that characterises La Grande Chapelle.

This concert, co-produced with the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo, also commemorates the 20th anniversary of La Grande Chapelle and will be a wonderful way to celebrate the decoration that this year the #FIMSAC and the Teatro Mayor received at the same time from the Government of Spain with the Plaque of Honor of the Order of Isabel la Católica.
