Bogor Student Murdered in COD Scheme, Suspect Arrested

Bogor Student Found Murdered, Suspect Apprehended in Jakarta

A chilling discovery in Ciomas, Bogor, has left the community reeling as a vocational school student is found dead, the victim of a gruesome homicide. The victim, identified as AF (19), was discovered slain inside a resident’s house, his death marked by brutal violence.

Following swift action from Bogor Police, the suspected murderer, HS (29), was apprehended at Gondangdia Station in Central Jakarta. Authorities believe HS is the son of the homeowner where the tragic incident occurred.

“The suspect was arrested last night. We took him to the Police because we are considering security aspects and so that the suspect does not run away,” stated AKBP Rio Wahyu Anggoro, Chief of the Bogor Police.

Further investigation revealed a chilling motive behind the heinous act. HS, according to authorities, had allegedly planned to lure AF under the guise of a cash-on-delivery (COD) cellphone purchase. When the young student arrived at HS’s residence, he was tragically murdered. HS then fled the scene, but his escape was short-lived thanks to the diligent pursuit of the Bogor Police.

Inspector Desi Triana, Head of Public Relations for the Bogor Police, revealed that HS has been charged with Articles 351 paragraph 2 and 338 of the Criminal Code. “The perpetrator’s motive was to control the victim’s property, namely 1 motorbike belonging to the victim and 1 cellphone belonging to the victim,” Inspector Triana explained.

While authorities are confident they have apprehended the individual responsible for this senseless act, the investigation continues into whether the murder was premeditated. The tragic death of AF serves as a harrowing reminder of the dangers that can lurk beneath the surface, shattering the sense of safety within a community.

The case has sent shock waves through Bogor and beyond, raising concerns about the safety and security of young people in the region. As ballots mount for justice, the community grieves the loss of a young life tragically cut short.
