The Bureau of Meteorology successively issued instant messages of heavy thunderstorms from evening to evening; two Boeing 787 passenger planes of EVA Air were suspected of being struck by lightning during the flight, and have landed safely at Taoyuan International Airport and are undergoing further maintenance; Sorry, I have landed at Bangkok Airport.

The Bureau of Meteorology has successively issued heavy thunderstorm instant messages from evening to evening, and the warning areas include Taichung City, Miaoli County, Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County, and Hsinchu City.

EVA Air confirmed this evening that two Boeing 787 passenger planes were flying missions BR892 and BR868 from Hong Kong to Taipei respectively. They were suspected of being struck by lightning during the flight.

Xingyu Airlines stated that the JX741 Taipei-Bangkok flight took off at 2:25 p.m. Taipei time and was struck by lightning during the climbing phase. The plane landed at Bangkok Airport at 4:53 p.m. local time.
