Transactions at Bodiva reached impressive numbers, moving 7.671 billion kwanzas, a significant increase compared to 1.095 billion the previous year. It is noteworthy that 90% of this value comes from business carried out bilaterally, totaling 6.856 billion kwanzas. Negotiations in the multilateral environment also contributed, totaling 814.431 billion kwanzas, representing an increase of 302.304 billion compared to the previous year.
According to data from the aforementioned institution, the National Bank of Angola (BNA) played a crucial role in boosting the stock market’s growth, with intermember purchases soaring 461%, reaching 1.465 billion, and sales increasing to 4.686 billion. BAI took second place, contributing to the historic record with inter-member purchases of 1.5 billion and inter-member sales of 875.240 billion kwanzas. Meanwhile, BFA, led by Luís Gonçalves, fell to third place, making inter-member purchases of 1.9 billion and inter-member sales of 230.696 billion.
Of the 23 members in the securities market, some have a low turnover, such as Lwei Mansamusa Brokers, Banco Económico and VTB Africa. However, the total number of accounts under custody increased by 4,559 new accounts, now totaling 29,994. Of these, BFACM, linked to BFA, leads with 58.73% of the number of accounts per member, controlling 17,614 accounts. The securities distributor Aurea controls 17.04%, with 5,111 accounts, followed by the bank Millennium Atlântico with 6.75% (2,025 accounts).
