CANCUN.- The lifeless bodies with signs of violence of two teenagers were found a few meters from the Cancun-Mérida highway.
In a dirt area, at kilometer 292 of the federal highway, the bodies of two teenagers were found.
The macabre discovery was made by neighbors of the Emiliano Zapata neighborhood of Cancun, Quintana Roo around 7:50 and 8:00 this Monday morning.
The residents notified the authorities, who confirmed the fact.
Teenagers found dead in Cancún-Mérida
Two lifeless bodies with signs of violence were found on the Cancún-Mérida highway, shortly before reaching the town of Leona Vicario.
According to preliminary reports, these are two teenagers, who are related as they are identified as uncle and nephew.
They were both students: FAC 14 years old in secondary school and HAC 16 years in high school.
The bodies were tied up, they had gunshot wounds to the head and other signs of violence.
Uncle and nephew were reported missing by their relatives after they went out shopping during the night of Saturday, October 12 and did not return.
They were allegedly lifted, so the family filed a complaint with the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE).
After the discovery of their bodies, FGE An investigation file was opened for the crime of qualified homicide, while the Ministerial Police make the corresponding investigations.
Quintana Roo authorities cordoned off the area where the discovery was made and proceeded to remove the bodies, which were transferred to the Semefo for the necropsy of law.
Relatives of the teenagers were already at the scene of the events, who were interviewed by the Prosecutor’s Office.
