BOCS: The German Shipping Company with a Rich History in Europe-Africa Trade

For more than twenty years, the German shipping company BOCS has had its ships transit through the Strait when they “go up to the North”. For eleven years, the African Forest, Wind and River provided service between Europe and the West Coast of Africa (COA). On the propulsion side, it is equipped with a six-cylinder MAN-B&W-STX of 9,480 Kw (12,900 hp) allowing it to navigate at 15 knots (28 km/h). Its operation and maintenance are entrusted to a crew of 22 men.
