The technical director of La Vinotinto, Fernando ‘Bocha’ Batista, stated that the “The main objective of all of Venezuela is the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.”

During a press conference following Venezuela’s defeat on penalties once morest Canada, ‘Bocha’ said he was proud of his players and that Canada’s game today did not surprise him. Batista also said that the “The main objective of all Venezuela is the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup“.

It is worth noting that La Vinotinto came out of the 2024 Copa América undefeated, within the 90 minutes of regulation time. This Friday’s defeat came on penalties, leaving the game 1-1, where Canada scored 4 while Venezuela scored 3 of 6 penalties.
