A group of around 30 Boca fans who are already in Rio de Janeiro awaiting the cup final with Fluminense reported that they were attacked and assaulted by fans of the Rio de Janeiro club while they were on a beach in Copacabana. Hours later it was reported that there were three detainees, one of them with a criminal record.

On social networks, Boca supporters said that they were enjoying a day at the beach when they were surprised by a contingent of the same number of fans identified with the Flu who attacked them without being defended by the Rio police. According to the version of the Xeneizes fans, they beat them and stole some of their belongings, including cell phones and flags. In the group of those attacked there were women who were also beaten. As a result of the incident, the Boquenses had to be treated in a guard for minor cuts to the head.

The violent Brazilians also showed the hats and money they took from the Boca fans as trophies on their social networks. They also published a threatening message on their Instagram account, citing a post by the leader of La 12, Rafael Di Zeo, in which they stated: “All ordinary Boca fans, families and children are going to be welcome in Rio, but “The shits of La 12 remain attentive.” Di Zeo, for his part, published a photo on the same network informing that he and his group from the Boca bar are already on a trip to Rio to wait for the arrival of the team this Wednesday.

For his part, Daniel Scioli, Argentine ambassador to Brazil, said that “there is enormous expectation and growing tension” for the Cup final and made a special call for attention to the behavior of the Xeneizes fans because “the Police have zero tolerance for certain circumstances.

“We are following very closely everything that is the preventive aspect for this grand final, there is growing tension with the arrival of so many Boca fans,” Scioli said in dialogue with Télam Radio.

In addition, the ambassador warned Boca fans to “refrain from provocations, not to respond and not to make insults or expressions regarding aspects of religion or sexual orientation” since “they are crimes that are not subject to any bail.”

Likewise, he advised the Argentine public to “refrain from buying tickets in the vicinity of the stadium, because criminal organizations usually falsify tickets and sell them on the beach or in the immediate vicinity.”
