From almost dying at birth to being the oldest dog

Boni was born in a rural town of Conqueiros in Portugal along with three other male cubs, but the family decided she mightn’t take care of any more animals. According to the account of Leonel Costa, current owner, at that time, it was “usual” for people to bury their newborn puppies with whom they might not keep.

That was the fate of Bobi’s brothers, but he had hidden in the shed and was still alive. Thus, the brothers of the family decided to stay with him and take care of him secretly from his father. Today, he is the oldest dog in the world, according to information from the American portal NPR.
