American actor Bob Saget, well known for playing the father of the television comedy ‘Forced Father’ (1987-1995), passed away this Sunday at age 65.
Saget (Philadelphia, USA, 1956) died in an Orlando hotel, where he was found dead by authorities, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in Florida said. Still the cause is not known of his death, but the county sheriff’s office clarified that there were no signs of a violent death and no drugs were found at the scene.
Saget had performed the night before at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall (Jacksonville, USA) as part of his monologue tour. After that comedy show, the actor posted a message on Twitter with a photo of himself saying that he had loved his show that night and thanking his audience.
With a long history dedicated to humor, Saget was very popular for his role as widowed father Danny Tanner on the big television family of ‘Forced Fathers’. The cast of this famous comedy series also featured other interpreters such as John Stamos, Lori Loughlin and the sisters Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen (they alternated giving life to the youngest daughter in the house).
After almost 200 episodes of ‘Forced fathers’, Saget also participated as Danny Tanner in the Netflix series that gave it continuity, ‘Forced mothers’ (2016-2020).
In the United States, Saget was also well known for being the host of the television comedy show ‘America’s Funniest Home Videos’ between 1989 and 1997. In addition, Saget had a long career as a stand-up comedian and comedian that took him to tour the country with his shows.
On the small screen he was also the voice in the future of Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor on screen) who narrated the popular comedy ‘How I Met Your Mother’ (2005-2014). Behind the cameras, Saget was the director of several humorous films such as ‘Dirty Work’ (1998), the mockumentary ‘Farce of the Penguins’ (2006) or ‘Benjamin’ (2019).
