On the followingnoon of November 15, Mr. Ta Duong Anh Tuan, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Huong Vinh Ward, Hue City (Thua Thien Hue), said that an incident had just occurred in the area. The boat capsized causing one person to die and one person to go missing.

Initial information, the same morning, 8 people travel on the same boat move from Huong So apartment complex to Phu Hau ward (Hue city). When returning to the flooded section of Huong Vinh ward, the boat unfortunately overturned.
At the time of the incident, 6 people on the boat clung to objects on the road and were saved. Particularly, the mother and daughter of Mrs. HTB (born 1983) and Ms. NTH, residing in Huong So ward, were swept away by the flood.
Upon receiving the news, the functional forces and people conducted rescue work. After that, Ms. HTB’s body was found and handed over to the family to handle the funeral.
Currently, the authorities are still conducting the search for Ms. H.
