Tightening sanctions against Russia and the complication of logistics routes for the delivery of new cars, among others, have not prevented dealers from recently bringing impressive quantities of new cars from departed brands. An Autonews.ru correspondent, under the guise of a potential client, turned to large Moscow car dealerships and found out what cars they offer and how much, whether it is possible to buy such new products with a guarantee, and what will happen to the prices.
Kia Sportage

One of the large dealer networks in Moscow brought a new batch of popular Korean Kia Sportage crossovers to car dealerships. As the manager of one of the showrooms said, the cars were delivered to Russia from Kazakhstan. The seller’s car is available in several trim levels. So, the most affordable option would be to buy a car in the Comfort version for 4 million rubles.
This front-wheel drive crossover is equipped with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine producing 150 hp. and automatic transmission. Useful options include: cruise control, parking sensors, rear view camera, LED optics, as well as light and rain sensors. For example, in Kazakhstan, on the official website, such a car now costs 13,790,000 tenge (2.8 million rubles at the current exchange rate).
Customers are also offered an all-wheel drive Kia Sportage in one of the top Prestige trim levels with a 150-horsepower engine. Price – 4,400,000 rubles. In Kazakhstan, according to the official Kia website, purchasing such a car will cost 16,190,000 tenge (3.3 million rubles).

Another large auto holding brought Korean compact crossovers Hyundai ix35 to Russia. In a trading company in the north of Moscow, this machine is available in several configurations and with different power plants to choose from. The dealer independently transports the cars from China. For example, customers are offered a car with a 1.4-liter engine producing 140 hp. This unit works in conjunction with a seven-band “robot”. At the same time, the seller immediately drew attention to the rich set of options for this Hyundai ix35. The car is equipped with adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, an all-round camera, a digital instrument cluster, navigation and blind spot monitoring systems. Those wishing to purchase such a model will have to pay 3.6 million rubles. You can save money when buying a car by giving your old car a trade-in, as well as by taking out a loan and comprehensive insurance.
The seller is also going to sell the Hyundai ix35 with a 2.0-liter engine producing 160 hp. However, according to an employee of the dealership, these cars have not yet reached the showroom.
Skoda Kodiaq GT

Skoda suspended its activities in Russia last year, but models of the Czech brand can still be purchased on our market, thanks to alternative delivery routes. For example, a dealership in the west of Moscow brought a large batch of Skoda Kodiaq GT crossovers from China. The front-wheel drive car is equipped with a 2.0-liter engine producing 186 hp. and a robotic gearbox. Buying a car in the Luxury configuration, which includes dual-zone climate control, a rain sensor, a rear view camera and a start-stop system, will cost RUB 4,500,000. At the same time, when purchasing for cash, the manager of the dealership promised to give a discount of 200,000 rubles.
“We purchase these cars from official dealers in China. The car has a two-year warranty. If desired, it can be extended, but for an additional fee,” explains the seller.

The BYD Seagull electric hatchback has been sold on the Russian market for a long time. Previously, the car was privately brought and sold to dealerships in the Far East. Now the car has reached the capital’s car dealerships. An Autonews.ru correspondent managed to find this car in two Moscow trading companies at once. The price for the hatchback was 2,400,000 rubles. Moreover, in China this model costs much less (about 1 million rubles at today’s exchange rate)
BYD Seagull is equipped with a 75-horsepower electric motor and a 30-kilowatt-hour battery, which provides the vehicle with a range of up to 405 kilometers. The maximum speed of the hatchback is 130 kilometers per hour.

A confusing story happened with the purchase of the BMW X3 crossover. Sellers claim that this is the most popular model in Russia, which is brought in through parallel imports. At a dealership in the north of Moscow, this crossover could be bought a month ago at a price of 8,600,000 rubles. For this money, the client received an all-wheel drive car with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine producing 184 hp. in the xDrive20i version. However, in September, such a BMW X3 at the same dealership increased in price by 75,000 rubles. The manager hastened to explain this price adjustment as “a new batch of cars.” Moreover, an employee of the trading company found it difficult to answer where these cars were brought from. At the same time, the seller clarified that the crossover has a two-year warranty with the possibility of extension.
Audi Q3
Buying a compact crossover Audi Q3 will also not be a problem in Moscow. So, a dealership in the north of the city brought a large batch of such cars to its showroom. Customers are offered a front-wheel drive crossover with a 2.0-liter engine producing 150 hp. and automatic transmission. You will have to pay an impressive 5,986,000 rubles for such a car. At the same time, when buying for cash, the dealer is now ready to make a discount and part with the car for 5,600,000 rubles.
The crossover is also offered in all-wheel drive with a 2.0-liter diesel engine and a rich range of options. The cost of such a machine is 7,800,000 rubles. If you take advantage of a discount from a car dealership, this amount will decrease to RUB 7,500,000.

A new batch of RAV4 crossovers has arrived at a dealership in the southeast of Moscow. According to the seller, the cars arrived in Russia under a “parallel import” scheme.
