In Spreitbach AG, two drunk car occupants refused to testify regarding the driver responsible following an accident and were arrested. The car reported the accident itself. It sent the relevant data, which reached the police via the manufacturer.
The two men, aged 42 and 43, got off a side street in their car around 3.30 a.m. on Friday night and crashed into a tree, according to the Aargau canton police. The collision and the coordinates of the scene of the accident were reported to the police by the alarm center of the German car manufacturer BMW. Previously, the car had automatically transmitted the relevant data following the accident.
