Federal Minister Martin Polaschek congratulates the former Federal Minister for Science and Research Hans Tuppy on his 99th birthday on July 22nd.

Vienna (OTS) – Former Federal Minister Hans Tuppy celebrates his 99th birthday on July 22, 2023. “I warmly congratulate Hans Tuppy on this special birthday. As a biochemist and Federal Minister for Science and Research, he worked tirelessly for Austria as a location for education and science and set the course for a sustainable research landscape and strong university landscape. On the occasion of his birthday, I would like to thank him once once more for this important contribution,” said Martin Polaschek, Federal Minister of Education, Science and Research.

Tuppy has supported science and research in Austria in his numerous functions, for example as President of the FWF, Rector of the University of Vienna and President of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
