Blue March, a month of mobilization against cancer in Aveyron

The Aveyron Cancer Screening Association is once once more implementing numerous preventive actions.

The Regional Cancer Screening Coordination Center (CRCDC) and its Aveyron branch of Adeca (Aveyron Association for Cancer Screening, Impasse des Vieux Chênes in Rodez) are these days putting the finishing touches to the vast mobilization that is ‘announcement. Like every year, Mars Bleu and its myriad of events will soon resume service in the department, between awareness-raising operations, prevention workshops and other sporting events.

The advantage of rapid support

“The objective of screening is to be able to diagnose cancer at an early stage, even if it does not yet produce symptoms. Treatment, very early, promotes the chances of recovery and limits the sequelae related to the disease. and certain treatments”explain l’Adeca 12.

In 2020 and 2021, the participation rate in organized colorectal cancer screening was 31.9% in Occitanie and 32.5% in Aveyron. Here is the detail of all the events organized in the department as part of Blue Mars.

– Information on colorectal cancer screening, Thursday March 2 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the hospital center of Villefranche-de-Rouergue. Information and possibility of delivery of immunological tests.

– Blue Mars day, Saturday March 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the gymnasium of Companies. An awareness day in partnership with the municipalities of the Decazeville basin. Several activities will be offered: Health village, petanque, walking circuits, cycling. Participation of €5 per workshop, information on 06 81 03 95 92.

– Information day on colorectal cancer screening, Tuesday March 7 from 1:30 p.m. at the Maison de santé in Luc la Primaube. Nordic walking initiation workshop (free, course accessible to all), information workshops on the prevention and screening of colorectal cancer and possibility of delivery of the immunological test on site.

– Blue hike, Saturday March 11 from 1:30 p.m. on the site of the castle in Onet-Village. On the program two walking circuits accessible to all, free. Health Village (colorectal cancer prevention and screening information with the possibility of delivering immunological tests). Associated partners: League once morest cancer 12, CCAS Onet-le-Château, Cami Sport and cancer, etc.

Health workshops, Friday March 17 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Maison de santé in To Cavalry. Group workshops on colorectal cancer prevention and screening. Free, open to all.

– Women’s health day, Saturday March 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Salle des Bruyères in The Fouillade. Women’s Health Village: information on contraception and possibilities for making appointments for Pap smears, information on cancer screening, tobacco prevention, cardiovascular prevention, etc.

– Blue march, Thursday March 23 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at La Gamasse, Naucelle. Awareness walk for colorectal cancer screening. Information and possibility of delivery of immunological tests. 1.9 km circuit, accessible to all and free.

– Blue march, Thursday March 23 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Lac de Lenne, Baraqueville. Awareness walk for colorectal cancer screening. Information and possibility of delivery of immunological tests. 3.2 km circuit, accessible to all, free.

– Information day on colorectal cancer screening, Monday, March 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Medical Center of Sébazac. Information on colorectal cancer screenings, possibility of delivery of immunological tests on site.

– “Cancer prevention” workshops, Tuesday April 11, April 18 and April 25 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the CCAS of Onet-le-Chateau. Group workshops, open to all on registration at 05 65 77 22 88.

– Transaubrac blue hike, Saturday April 22 from 10:30 a.m. to Saint-Geniez-d’Olt. Registration open until April 1 on trans-aubrac.fr
