Blue is expected to win 4 in the speaker election today

For the seat of Taipei City Speaker, the former KMT Speaker Chen Jin-hsiang failed to be re-elected in the party primaries. This year, the senior congressman Dai Xiqin will run for re-election, and the deputy speaker Ye Linchuan will fight for re-election. The Kuomintang has a near majority in the parliament, and today’s election is almost guaranteed. The prospective mayor Jiang Wan’an took office today, and Lan Ying has completely ruled for the first time in eight years.

New Taipei’s current speaker Jiang Genhuang and deputy speaker Chen Hongyuan are fighting for re-election. Cai Jinxian, the original general convener of the Alliance for Non-Party Solidarity, is also fighting for the position of deputy speaker. After a series of negotiations, Cai Jinxian nodded and agreed to support the blue camp; Li Qianping was called to compete for the speaker’s seat. The New Taipei City Council has 66 seats, and the KMT has 32 seats in this term.

The Taoyuan City Council KMT pushed Qiu Yisheng and Li Xiaozhong to seek re-election, and the DPP pushed Lu Lin Xiaofeng and Peng Junhao to challenge. The KMT’s 29 seats were three seats less than the previous one, and the majority was less than half. Although the DPP’s 24 seats were five more than the previous session, Also less than half, the ten non-party seats play a key role, and it is estimated that more than half of them will support the re-election of Qiu and Li.

The KMT of the Taichung City Council elected the current Speaker Zhang Qingzhao and Deputy Speaker Yan Limin to seek re-election, while the Democratic Progressive Party was partnered by Zeng Chaorong and Chen Shuhua. Of the 65 city councilors, the KMT holds 32 seats, and with the support of the independent party and the People’s Party, a total of 8 seats, there is little doubt that Zhang and Yan will be re-elected.

Kaohsiung City Councilor Zeng Junjie yesterday abandoned the Kuomintang and joined the Democratic Progressive Party as a non-party to elect the chairman and deputy speaker. Cities need nonpartisan cooperation if they are to progress.

Gao Hongan, a legislator of the People’s Party, was elected mayor of Hsinchu, but faced with the situation of “North Korea and the Wild”. Yu Bangyan is fighting for re-election. After Yu failed to vote in a fake vote, quit the party and was comforted, following integration, the two are expected to be re-elected.

Of the 31 councilors in Keelung City, neither the KMT nor the DPP have more than half, with 13 and 12 seats respectively, with a difference of only one seat. The KMT nominated the current speaker Cai Wanglian and councilor He Shuping to be the chairperson and deputy speaker; the DPP was elected by councilor Tong Ziwei Contesting for the speaker, the deputy speaker intends to cooperate across parties and non-DPP people in exchange for the speaker’s greatest chance of winning. The outcome may be between one and two votes.

Among the 33 seats in the new Hualien County Council, the KMT won 18 seats. In addition to the current speaker, Zhang Jun, two seats have been submitted for election. They have a total of 20 seats, and they are firmly in the majority. The Ministry of “Blackout” did not nominate, and Wu Dongsheng was nominated to run for the election, forming a situation of infighting among the blue camp. The two have supporters in the party. The 11 seats without party membership are the key, and the competition is fierce.

Kinmen’s current speaker, Hong Yundian, was challenged for the speaker’s seat by deputy speaker Zhou Zijie. Both of them are members of the Kuomintang, forming an “intra-party fight”. The current election situation is stalemate.
