The third episode of Nippon Television’s new Saturday drama “New Airport Occupation” (every Saturday at 10:00 p.m.), starring Arashi’s Sakurai Sho, was broadcast today, the 27th. In this work, Kanagawa Prefecture’s first international airport, Kanagawa New Airport, is occupied by the Kemono, an armed group whose faces are hidden behind masks. Saburo Musashi (Sakurai), an investigator involved in another incident, requests the cooperation of Sakura Izumi (Sonin), a supervisor who has been on leave since the incident a year ago. He takes on the challenge of rescuing hostages from the airport and exterminating beasts that are even more dangerous than demons. The deadline for rescuing the hostages is just one day, making this a completely original time limit battle suspense story.
Musashi reveals that the hostage, Masao Mibu (Toru Tezuka), is Shigeru Kitami, a member of the House of Representatives who is on the run. Kitami, who is facing multiple charges related to the hospital occupation incident a year ago, was discovered to have had plastic surgery to change his face. The true identities of the “tiger” and “monkey” beasts that hold a grudge against Kitami are revealed to be former administrator Kazuki Tanba (Hiroyuki Hirayama) and his son Naoki (Hiroshi Iwase).
