Jérémy Doku’s progress at Stade Rennais this season has been truncated by several injury absences. The former Anderlecht player had returned later from the Euros and had not had full preparation, so he was injured in one of the first games of the season against Nantes on August 22. Just before his return to the group against Nice, he was hit in the external lateral ligament of a knee during training and could not return until the end of November before being spared during the month of December because of his knee.
The Team indicates today that the Belgian would have injured his hamstrings at the beginning of the week on an acceleration in training. Breton coach Bruno Genesio confirmed at a press conference that his player would be out for three weeks. The 19-year-old has only played 12 of Rennes’ 31 games this season, far too few to develop his full potential.
