Bloomberg sources reportedthat Sony will introduce its new subscription service next week. The service is codenamed Spartacus and will be Microsoft’s answer to Xbox Game Pass.
Probably, the announcement will take place simultaneously with the display of the April line of PS Plus games.
Spartacus is to merge PS Plus and PS Now by offering three “tiers” of subscriptions – $10, $13 and $16. First for subscribers will remain the standard PS Plus, the second option will offer an extensive collection of 250-300 games, and the most expensive level will open access to demos, streaming and classic titles from older PlayStations.
According to Jason Schreier, Spartacus will include the “hits” of recent years. However, God of War Rangarok and GT7-level novelties are unlikely to be immediately available in the service.
