On June 27, 2022, the body of a man was found in an apartment on Hauptstrasse in the Reussbühl district of Lucerne. He was apparently the victim of a homicide, as the Lucerne police announced on Monday. The victim is a 31-year-old man from Afghanistan who has lived in the canton of Lucerne for several years. The background is still unclear.
However, a suspected perpetrator has already been caught. In cooperation with specialists from the federal police Fedpol, a person was arrested in France on July 1. Whether this person is actually responsible for the homicide and what the motives are for the crime is the subject of ongoing investigations. (jmh)
