February 28: In a three-team trade, the New York Rangers acquire forward Patrick Kane and defenseman Cooper Zech from the Chicago Blackhawks; Chicago receives defenseman Andy Welenski, a conditional second-round pick in the 2023 NHL draft and a fourth-round pick in the 2025 NHL draft from the Rangers, and defenseman Vili Saarijarvi from the Arizona Coyotes; Arizona earns a conditional third-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft from Rangers.

February 28: The Minnesota Wild acquire the forward Gustav Nyquist by the Columbus Blue Jackets for Boston’s fifth-round pick in the 2023 NHL draft, previously acquired by Minnesota.

February 28: The Edmonton Oilers acquire the defenseman Matthias Ekholm and a 6th-round draft pick by the Nashville Predators for defenseman Tyson Barrie, forward Reid Schaefer, a 2023 first-round pick and a 2024 fourth-round pick.

February 28: New York Islanders sign Toronto Maple Leafs’ Pierre Engvall for a third-round draft pick

February 28th: Toronto Maple Leafs sign defenders Luke Schenn by the Vancouver Canucks for a third-round draft pick

February 28: Washington Capitals sign defenders Rasmus Sandin from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for defensemen Erik Gustafsson and the 2023 Boston Bruins first-round draft pick

February 28: Minnesota Wild sign forwards Marcus Johansson by the Washington Capitals for a third-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft.

February 28: The Carolina Hurricanes sign forwards Jesse Puljujarvi from the Edmonton Oilers and give up storm talent Patrik Puistola.

27th of February: The Toronto Maple Leafs get defenders Jake McCabestriker Sam Lafferty, a conditional fifth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft and a conditional fifth-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks. In return, the Blackhawks receive forwards Joey Anderson and Pavel Gogolev, a conditional first-round pick in the 2025 NHL draft and a second-round pick in the 2026 NHL draft.

February 26: The Tampa Bay Lightning pick up forwards Tanner Jeannot by the Nashville Predators in exchange for defenders Callan Footea conditional first-round pick in 2025, 2026, or 2027, Tampa Bay’s own second-round pick in 2024, Tampa Bay’s own third-round pick in 2023, Tampa Bay’s own fourth-round pick in 2023, and Tampa Bay’s own fifth-round pick in 2023.

February 26: The New Jersey Devils acquire forwards from the San Jose Sharks Timo Meier defender Scott Harringtondefender Santeri Hatakka, forward Timur Ibragimov, goalkeeper Zachary Emond and a fifth-round pick in 2024 in exchange for a Sharks first-round draft pick in 2023 (conditional), forward Andreas JohnsonDefender Shakir Mukhamadullin, Defender Nikita Okhotiuk, Forward Fabian Zetterlunda second-round pick in 2024 (conditional) and a seventh-round pick in 2024.

February 26: The Colorado Avalanche take the defender Jack Johnson from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for the defenseman Andreas Englund under contract.

February 26: The Vegas Golden Knights draw attackers Ivan Barbashev by the St. Louis Blues on land. For this they give up young striker Zach Dean.

February 26: The Dallas Stars have secured the services of forward Evgeni Dadonov from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for forwards Denis Gurianov.

February 25: Acquire the Winnipeg Jets Nino Niederreiter by the Nashville Predators for Winnipeg’s second-round pick im NHL Draft 2024.

February 25: The Vancouver Canucks make the trade Vitali Kravtsov by the New York Rangers for William Lockwood and a seventh-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft.

February 23: The Boston Bruins acquire in a 3-team trade with the Washington Capitals and the Minnesota Wild defender Dmitry Orlovthe striker Garnet Hathaway and forward prospect Andrei Svetlakov. The Capitals receive forwards Craig Smitha first-round pick in the 2023 NHL draft, a third-round pick in the 2024 NHL draft, and a second-round pick in the 2025 NHL draft. The Wilds receive Boston’s fifth-round pick in the 2023 NHL draft.

February 22: Chicago Blackhawks announce they have lost defenseman to Ottawa Senators Nikita Zaitsevreceived a second-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft and a fourth-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft in exchange for future services.

19th of February: The New York Rangers acquire forwards Tyler Motte by the Ottawa Senators in exchange for forwards Julien Gauthier and a conditional seventh-round draft pick.

February 17: The Toronto Maple Leafs announce the signing of Ryan O’Reilly, Noel Acciari and Josh Pillar, the St. Louis Blues receive Mikhail AbramovAdam Gaudette and three draft picks while the Minnesota Wild get Toronto’s fourth-round pick in 2025.

February 9: The New York Rangers are acquiring forwards Vladimir Tarasenko and defender Niko Mikkola on St. Louis Blues in exchange for strikers Sammy Blaisdefenseman Hunter Skinner, and conditional first- and fourth-round draft picks.

February 5: The Seattle Kraken sign defenders Jaycob Megna from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2023 NHL draft.

January 30th: The New York Islanders acquire the forward from the Vancouver Canucks Bo Horvat in exchange for the strikers Anthony Beauvillier and Aatu Raty and a conditional first-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.

25 January: The Colorado Avalanche are acquiring forward Matt Nieto and defenseman Ryan Merkley from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for forward Martin Kaut and defensemen Jacob MacDonald.
