The blocking mode has been expanded and offers even more protection for users who may be the target of spyware attacks because of their person or work. New protections include more secure wireless defaults, media handling, media sharing defaults, sandboxing, and network security improvements. Enabling blocking mode further strengthens device defenses and severely limits certain functions. This reduces the attack surface for all users who need additional protection. Blocking mode is also supported in watchOS.
