Over the past few days, Blizzard has sent several World of Warcraft players a survey with several questions regarding the Wrath of the Lich King expansion, as well as WotLK Classic and faction balancing.
Chadwiko published the questions received by one of his friends and it is obviously interesting to take a close look at them.
Blizzard first asks if you played Wrath of the Lick King between 2008 and 2010, when it was originally released. Next, the company addresses two issues regarding the balancing of factions on realms:
- How would you describe the faction balance of the realm you primarily play on?
- If Blizzard fixes faction balance issues, do you plan to play WoW Classic or BC Classic in the next 30 days?
The last question is directly related to WotLK Classic. Blizzard is indeed asking if we are ready to play it or not.
Most answers can be nuanced. You can therefore say that you will “very certainly” or “unlikely” play WotLK Classic.
If the arrival of WotLK Classic seems inevitable, the problems surrounding factions have been around for a long time and Blizzard has not yet found a silver bullet to fix them. Have the developers had any new ideas for sending players to the Horde or the Alliance depending on the realms? Nothing less certain, but it is at least an element for which Blizzard seeks to know if the malaise is global or linked to certain categories of players.
