Blizzard CEO to report War 3 Reforged in June

Blizzard Entertainment is not giving up on ‘Warcraft 3: Reforged’.

In January 2020, Blizzard released ‘Reforged’, a remastered version of Warcraft 3’s graphics.

As it was a game that was loved by various use maps such as ‘Chaos’ and ‘Fight of Characters’ in Korea, many fans had high expectations, but the result of the remaster was the worst.

The graphics were greatly downgraded from the trailer released, so it was embarrassing to call it a remaster, and even the subtitles in the Korean version were messed up, so the Metacritic user rating at the time was 0.5 out of 10. Just by looking at the fact that e-sports competitions are still conducted in the original version rather than the reforged version, you can see how far the perfection has fallen.

Blizzard promised to “improve the problem entirely on the official blog in May 2020,” and all updates were cut off a month following that. Meanwhile, on Twitter, “Are there any news regarding the Warcraft 3: Reforged team?” Blizzard Entertainment CEO Mike Ivara replied to the question, “We will hear regarding it soon in June.” Specific details have not yet been disclosed.

At the time of the initial announcement of Warcraft 3: Reforged, it was announced that the cut-in would be reworked, but there were no changes in the final version, and elements that were evaluated as lacking such as shadows, light elements, and sense of speed were not improved. Also, in 2002, such as clan and ladder support Fans were also dissatisfied that many social functions that were already in the original version might not be seen in Reforged.

The news of Warcraft 3: Reforged, mentioned by CEO Ibara, is expected to introduce Reforged, which completely improves the dissatisfaction and missing parts of fans. The game ‘Warcraft Arclight Rumble’ is speeding up the expansion of Warcraft IP.

If ‘Warcraft 3: Reforged’, the root of the Warcraft IP, satisfies the fans’ satisfaction with its good appearance, it will definitely be of great help to the IP expansion.

A showcase for Xbox and Bethesda Games, which announced the acquisition of Blizzard on June 12, is also scheduled. It is highly likely that news regarding Warcraft 3 will be delivered through the showcase or other presentation sessions.
