Blizzard cooperated with Taiwan’s Thunderbolt International Multimedia Alien, and launched an unexpected special project, connecting some of the plots in “World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King” and presenting it in the form of a puppet show. The video is only regarding 4 and a half minutes long. Since the video is already online, I won’t introduce any more here. Let’s enjoy the finished product directly~

In the interview, Fan Shiqing, the Thunderbolt stylist responsible for the puppet design, said that it is not as easy as imagined to turn the characters of “World of Warcraft” into puppet. In addition to the exquisite and complex armor design in “World of Warcraft”, what is more important is that the characters in World of Warcraft seldom wear “elegant” clothing, and it is relatively difficult to cover the hands and movements of the puppeteer. Moreover, the movements of the characters are usually slower and more powerful. How to use the puppet puppetry to present the weight of the armor is a considerable test.

At present, both the standard version and the classic version of “World of Warcraft” have just been revised. The classic version of the “Wrath of the Lich King” expansion pack has just been launched at the end of September, and the standard version of the “Dragon Rise” expansion pack is even more Just went live on November 29th. In addition to the cooperation with Thunderbolt this time, Athas, Lich King and Muradin appeared in the Lich King short film. In addition to the three characters of Bronze Beard, the puppet of the Red Dragon Queen Alison Strauss was also created for “The Rise of the Dragon”.

The four puppets will be exhibited in the form of “nostalgic wild trolleys” this weekend. First, they will be exhibited at ATT e Life in Taipei from 12:00 to 15:00 on the 17th, and then they will be moved to Taichung at the same time on the 18th. It is also a very suitable place to display in front of the statue of Assas.
