FC Blau-Weiß Linz announces an important decision for the future: Christoph Peschek is extending his contract as managing director until 2028.
Chairman of the Board Dr. Hans Kalliauer is pleased about this step: “We are pleased that we were able to agree on a three-year extension with Managing Director Christoph Peschek. Christoph and his team have done an enormous amount of work over the past two years and have positively developed the club in all respects and made it significantly more professional. The entire club board is convinced that we can continue on this path together and establish the club in the Bundesliga in the long term. We are convinced that the positive development of the club will continue under Christoph in the coming years and that the values as well as the positive image and professional work will continue to be guaranteed.”
“I have been able to work as managing director of FC Blau-Weiß Linz since February 1, 2023 and felt a lot of appreciation and trust right from the start. Together as a team we achieved a number of milestones during this time, the championship title in the 2nd league and the associated promotion to the Bundesliga, the opening and commissioning of the Hofmann Personal Stadium, staying in the league and also the home victories in the Linz derbies. The growth in all areas of the club, the strengthening of the positioning, the retention and addressing of different target groups and the record sales last season are essential to secure and expand the economic foundation for sporting success. A great team of employees, but also the enormous support of our fans and partners fill me with great joy. We want to establish FC Blau-Weiß Linz in the Bundesliga, grow continuously economically, further improve the infrastructure and develop the club into a medium-sized Bundesliga club.
