An exceptional mosquito control operation is requested by the Regional Health Agency (ARS) Occitanie, following the detection of a single case of dengue from a tropical country in order to avoid any local transmission. It will take place on the night of Wednesday 12 to Thursday 13 October, between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. The targeted perimeters are restricted, around 150 meters, around the home of the person who was infected while traveling. Mosquito control therefore concerns the following sectors: rue François-Villon, place du Relais, avenue de Cornebarrieu, Airbus site, rue Gabriel-Clerc.
The residents concerned have received a letter with the recommendations to follow.
On the evening of the treatment, the inhabitants of the sector concerned are asked to bring in the laundry, the children’s toys and to close the windows. After the treatment, it is recommended to rinse the garden furniture with water and to favor indoor activities for the children the next day. Wait three days following the treatment to consume, following having washed them, vegetables and fruits from the garden.
This new operation comes a month following the mosquito control of the church sector in the old center for the same reasons.
