While fans have been privy to some songs they thought they might not hear again – like the hit single “APT.” featuring Bruno Mars, “APT.” sits comfortably alongside 11 other raw, emotional, and captivating songs. The album’s release date had been eagerly anticipated by BLINKs since the first announcement Oct. 1, with ROSÉ teasing the meaning behind the album’s title, “I have poured my blood and tears into this album”, she wrote on Instagram at the time. “I cannot wait for you all to listen to this little journal of mine. Rosie– is the name I allow my friends and family to call me. With this album, I hope you all feel that much closer to me.”

After “APT.”’s six-week reign at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, fans were treated to another powerful ballad, “Number One Girl,” showcasing a more vulnerable side of ROSÉ.

“I’ve always wanted to showcase that side of myself, song-wise” she told Zane Lowe during a recent Apple Music 1 Interview, “Number One Girl” was my attempt to do just that. she wrote, “Number One Girl” which was “inspired By ‘feeling so miserable’ after reading hate comments about herself.

ROSÉ has been transparent about wanting to connect with fans on a deeper level.

“I’d never like the person to know about it, but I would talk about [them] so much,” she told Lowe. “I needed to get it off my chest.”
