(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Lim Ji-woo = The number of subscribers to the official YouTube channel of the group BLACKPINK exceeded 90 million at 5:36 am on the 17th, YG Entertainment announced.
This is a record in regarding 7 years and 1 month since the channel was opened.
In July 2020, BLACKPINK was the first non-English speaking artist to be listed in the top 5 YouTube subscribers worldwide.
Since then, it has overtaken famous pop stars such as Ariana Grande, Eminem, Ed Sheeran, and Justin Bieber one following another, ranking first in the number of subscribers among artists worldwide in September 2021.
Blackpink, who broke the record for the most YouTube subscribers in September of last year with over 80 million subscribers, added 10 million subscribers once more in less than a year.
The cumulative number of views on Blackpink’s official YouTube channel has exceeded 32.2 billion.
It has a total of 43 videos with over 100 million views, including ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’, ‘Kill This Love’ and ‘BOOMBAYAH’.
BLACKPINK, who is conducting the world tour concert ‘BORN PINK’, will meet with audiences in New Jersey, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Los Angeles, etc. next month.
