Black Pink’s 2nd album ranked 37th on the UK album chart… Failed to win first place for 2 weeks in a row

Girl group BLACKPINK’s 2nd regular album ‘BORN PINK’ entered the UK’s official album chart ‘Top 100’ for two weeks in a row, but it dropped significantly compared to last week.

According to the latest chart released on the 30th (local time), ‘Born Pink’ ranked 37th on the ‘Top 100’ chart, down 36 places from the previous week’s record.

Previously, BLACKPINK became the first K-pop girl group to top the UK’s official album chart ‘Top 100’.

Two songs were listed on the official single chart ‘Top 100’.

The title song ‘Shut Down’ of the 2nd regular album entered the charts for two weeks in a row, ranking 43rd, down 19 places from the previous week, on the UK official single chart ‘Top 100’.

The pre-released song ‘Pink Venom’ ranked 61st and succeeded in entering the ‘Top 100’ for 6 weeks in a row.

The UK Official Chart is considered one of the two largest charts with global authority along with the US Billboard Chart.

Blackpink proved to be a world-class artist by becoming the first Asian female artist to top both the official charts and the Billboard charts.

‘Shut Down’ entered the charts for the second week in a row, recording 7th place, down 6 places from 1st place last week, on Spotify’s ‘Top Songs Global Weekly Chart’ of the world’s largest music platform.

The song has been streamed 29,34,799 times in the past week.

In addition to ‘Shutdown’, ‘Pink Venom’ ranked 13th, down 8 places from the previous week.
‘Pink Venom’ achieved 200 million streams in 42 days on Spotify, the world’s largest music platform, and broke the shortest record for a K-pop female artist.
