New Delhi – The second list of BJP candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections has been released. BJP has released the names of Rajya Sabha candidates from Madhya Pradesh and Odisha. Two Union Ministers were given another chance. Ashwini Vaishnav will file nominations from Odisha and L. Murugan from Madhya Pradesh. BJP National President JP Nadda will reach the Rajya Sabha from Gujarat. Ashok Chavan, who left the Congress, will also become a member of the Rajya Sabha.

BJP has released the names of five candidates from two states. L. Murugan, Umesh Nath Maharaj, Maya Narolia and Bansilal Gurjar are contesting from Madhya Pradesh and Ashwini Vaishna from Odisha.
BJD, the ruling party in Odisha, has announced its support to Ashwini Vaishnav. They issued a statement in this regard. BJD supported Ashwini Vaishnav in 2019 as well. BJD has announced two candidates for three vacant seats in Odisha. Ashwini Vaishnav was a civil servant in Odisha till 2010.
Elections to 56 Rajya Sabha seats will be held on February 27. Voting will be held on February 27 from 9 am to 4 pm. Counting of votes will be held at 5 pm. The last date for submission of nomination papers is February 15. The tenure of Union Ministers including V Muraleedharan, Rajya Sabha member from Maharashtra, is coming to an end.
